LEGGO! Resident. Multi-genre selector. Turntablist. ETC Crew co-founder. Red Bull 3Style participant. Member of the Spindle crew and Gaartjie affiliate. He’s here for you.

Since the early days of pure Hip Hop, Funk, Soul & DnB; White Nite has developed a great appreciation for the electronic left-of-centre – spinning everything from downtempo, beat music, dubstep and trapped out sounds to house, garage, footwork, jersey and the 130ish Bass sounds of the present.

Production wise, he has collaborated on music with artists including Akil (Jurassic 5), John Robinson & Zaki Ibrahim and many more of SA’s finest talents. On the performance front, White Nite has shared the stage with endless international heavyweights – from hip hop legends like Kev Brown, J-Live, Blu & Exile, Bahamadia and Masta Ace to world class DJs/Producers including Diplo, The Gaslamp Killer, Scratcha DVA, Kode9, Coki, A-Trak, Hudson Mohawke and DJ Oneman, to name but a few.

KID FONQUE (JHB) // Soul Candi/Atjazz/2sidesofthebeat

Whether he’s spinning otherworldly electronica, velvety soul, house laced with saucy samba rhythms, chin-stroking nu jazz or dubstep that makes your ribcage vibrate, a Kid Fonque set will always fresh, refined and technically adept.

Working his way up from CD stores to label manager of independent powerhouse Soul Candi Records, music has never been a side project for Kid Fonque. Unique in his ability to merge a myriad of different influences into a style that is entirely his own.

Best known for his genre-defying DJ sets, Kid Fonque (AKA Allan Nicoll) is an accomplished all-rounder. But far from being ‘jack of all trades, master of none’, his ability to traverse so many different styles, successfully—places him among the country’s most reputable DJs.

2013 has seen the Kid’s debut releases as an artist: ‘Kid Fonque and Friends’ on Soul Candi records and ‘Be’ on the world renowned Atjazz Record Company, already receiving support from major players including Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Osunlade and King Britt among others.

electronic music scene. His roots lie in the early nineties dance music scene and over the years his sound has moved with ease between the genres.
